Case Information
As you may have read, Mr. Dannebohm voluntarily turned himself in on June 5th, 2019, in Salina, Kansas after being accused of "Mistreat dependent adult/elder; Decept $25K-<$100K". He was held in an office for approximately 2 hours before being released without restrictions. His first court appearance was June 6th, 2019, with a preliminary hearing scheduled July 23th, 2019.
The incident was the result of a poorly contrived retribution attempt, aimed at tarnishing Mr. Dannebohm's reputation as public figure, for the sake of political gain. The irrefutable facts of the case, and the rest of the story were never reported.

Without the advice of legal counsel, Mr. Dannebohm contacted investigators and voluntarily sat down to answer all of their questions. Moreover, he insisted on being administered a polygraph test. Similarly, he insisted that investigators extract all data from his mobile phone, tablet, and personal computer. This included call logs, documents, photographs, text messages, apps, emails, and social media.

Mr. Dannebohm knew that the truth would ultimately prevail and was prepared to fight the charges. He retained one of the leading attorneys in the State of Kansas. However, the case proved too weak to hold up in a court of law. As indicated by the documents exhibited below, all charges were later dropped. The expense of the charade fell on the taxpayers, and Mr. Dannebohm was never required to enter a plea.
